Trying to figure out how to reset the SMS ECU. I did it once, ACCIDENTALLY (see: TROUBLE RESETTING THE SLABS ECU), but can't seem to recreate the happy event.
Until then, my butt's a draggin and my wife EXTREMELY uncomfortable (bouncing down the road)!
Anybody out there an electro-junky?

what happend the first time is that it reset to a non-slabs unit... it doesnt think you have sls. discos use the same ecu no matter if you have sls or not, just conifgured to what your car has... i dont know of a way to trick it into thinking you have it, might have to go to the dealer, they can hook it up to a testbook and reconfigure it in about 5 minutes

 

That's EXACTLY what I was afraid of! Everytime this thing goes into the stealership it's $750!!!
The last two times (for The Three Amigos) the cure was between $850 and $900 and the repairs lasted less than a month.

As the ECU was reset during my diddling, I just hoped someone out there could tell me what I did to make this miracle happen!
