So, about that a/c compressor...
So my formerly squeaky a/c compressor went up in a cloud of smoke and stink yesterday. Pulled over and checked it, dead compressor but no fire. It no longer squeaks. Not so good to kill the compressor, but now that it's shot, does it need replaced soon or is basically a pulley that I can wait til Spring to replace? Will need to have someone capture and fill the r134. Thoughts? OR...
any suggestion for belt if running with an ac delete?
[edit- ffr, it's a duralast 700k7]

Update- one of the members here actually sent me a spare ac compressor. I hadn't even asked, am actually still putting together a plan to get it done properly. Anyway, continue to be amazed by the community we have here.
