I saw a thread on here somewhere about getting a spare key made. Took the one and only key into Home Depot and asked the key guy to make a duplicate. He took it, put it into the fancy "laser" machine and it came back "no can do, no matches". Undeterred, I asked him to try the Axxesss + #38, in the old style machine that just reads the ridges and makes a copy. After a ridiculous amount of encouragement from me, the tech finally tried it and gave me my key, with a bunch of disclaimer talk. I assured him, don't worry, it's just a $2 key. Took the key to the truck, sure enough it works! No fob, no chip, just an old-style key that works. Now we have a spare, for $2! thanks again forum dudes and dudettes!
