Over here the crime rate in rural areas is low. Not that I'm saying there is a prepossession with food and eating but they do take 2-2.5 hours daily for lunch where most shops and businesses close. In the case of you spare tire, if you tucked a baguette behind the spare wheel they would tear the wheel off and leave it behind and then steal the baguette LOL.
