To be honest though, these trucks came with el cheapo Champion copper plugs from the factory.
Those Champions may have been "el cheapo" quality but they sure didn't have and "el cheapo" price. (I couldn't believe it the first time I saw what they charged on a repair order)

I put them in with new wires about that time with no issues.
Won't change them yet, but when I get the urge?..
DiscoMike, Spike,
what plugs are you guys running?

I have to agree, the biggest thing is the upgrading to 8mm wires (I found some 8.5mm from Aurora ignition wires while in Canada)
I have ran everything from $8/ea Iridium's to $.99/ea copper plugs, no difference in how well it runs or MPG, zero difference at all.
I am currently running NGK's, $2.99 with a $1.00 rebate when I bought them.

I know!!
But if you just go to AutoZone with the spark plug model number they will be like $2.00/ea.

The D2's came with double platinum champions, instead of the copper champions, that's why they are so expensive. You can blame California for that too.... after about the late 90's cars had to go at least 100,000 miles without a major service, except for fluid changes. I doubt many Land Rovers made it that long....

ARE YOU KIDDING??? 11 years really?
I put a set of Magnacors in a few months ago. I kept my original set of greys just in case. They have 80,000 miles on them...should I just chuck them?

Yeah but ask him how many miles he's put on the truck in those 11 years.
Thats what really matters, miles not age.

I called them and told them what I needed...They got it right. I am in Denver and left my paper work in Canada.
They are a Vancouver based company FYI. They were very helpful over the phone.
The wires at 8.5mm don't fit in the stock wire looms mounted on the valve cover, so I bought some after market looms that keep them off the valve cover.
Very good build quality...should definitely consider them.
