Default speakers wires and pos and neg

I'm replacing the factory audio in my 2002 discovery II. Does anyone know how the cd player is wired and which wire at the door is positive or negative. thanks

You'll find it in living color inside the RAVE, in the circuits diagram manual, free download below.

it actually isn't in there. What I did was remove the factory speakers and the wire harness bc it went with the phillips speakers. I want to wire the new alpine component speakers directly to the existing wires but I'd like to know which is pos or neg for polarity.

thank you

re: it actually isn't in there

So if the dealer needed to work on it, what would he do?

See attached from RAVE circuits manual. One page one, locate terminal 923 pin 15. That big black wire tied to frame ground. Note that this runs up to the Black orange, black Brown, Black red, and Black blue wires. One page two follow those to the door speakers. There are more pages like this for the several versions of the systems. Not sure which one you are updating. Will point out that some Discos have two antennas in the rear fixed glass panels, and only one is set up for AM/FM, the other is FM only for reeivers that handle diversity inputs.

put power to the speaker, if the cone moves out it pos. if the cone sucks in it neg.
