Default Speedo questions

As I live in Canada and my truck is from Georgia I tried swapping out a metric speedo into the gauge cluster. I was told on here that I couldn’t swap the whole cluster as they tie into the bcu and won’t work. I originally tried to pull the pointer off the displays and swap the papers but they don’t come off without breaking that I can see. So I ended up swapping the speedometer mechanisms. Now it starts at 80km per hour and counts down as I accelerate. Lol. Anyone play with these guage clusters before or know how I can get my bcu to work with a metric gauge cluster?

I know holding down the trip button switches between MPH/KPH on the odometer.

The only answer to speedo questions is: only in Europe, and even then it's best to have the body for it. Good luck.

Did you insert all the screws onto the gauges when you tested it?
I remember mine was bit wonky when I only added a few screws to test out my gauges after I added LEDs. I then added all the screws and tightened them all down for it to work correctly.

I’m going to pull it back apart tonight and try to hold it at zero when I apply power, I’ll check the screws, orientation of the drum, whatever else I can think of. Any ideas feel free to chime in
