Default Spring question

Normally, how long do suspension springs last? On my 03 DII, the rear slightly sags, but sometimes it doesn't, can't figure out why. But I replaced the shocks with Bilstein 2 mos ago. Truck has 59k miles. Ride feels fine, but then again it is my first Disco.

Does it have air suspension? If it does it's probably a leaking bag, replace them with new ones from Arnott or (I'd recommend) replace them with a coil conversion kit and be done with them. If you are all ready on coils and it's still sagging, it could be your mileage.

as above, BUT keep the Air imo,it has FAR more positives than negatives, you still have to buy the coil conversion even if you do swap them, its not as unreliable as everyone would have you believe. The Air bags "generally" last about 70-80k, My truck has just had its first replacement set and its on 87k, so its unlikely you will ever have to do it again. If it is leaking airbags, its better to do them asap as the compressor will die aswell trying to keep up with the leak so the cost will double.

My bad, I should of mentioned they are coils, no ACE or SLS. I had a suspicion it would be mileage. Any recommendations? Prefer the factory ride, plan on doing some off roading but nothing too heavy duty, also no plans to do lift and will be staying with the 18" Hurricanes. Nothing to tow right now also. Thanks!

At your mileage, the spring are or will be dropping, on the average of an inch and a half.
If you replace with either the Old Man Emu's or RTE, you won't drop again.

Hi, new to this as well... This is only my second post!

I am planning on a 6 monthtrip with lots of gear down central / south america. Obviously I will be replacing my "highway tries" for something a bit larger (31"?) and need some better suspension with a bit of lift for clearance. I have been reading up on this, but there seem to be many choices... Any experience or suggestions on this? Whatkind of lift gives my vehicle enough clearance, but doesn'talter handling too much? Thanks everyone!

H.D. Old Man Emu lift kit, shock, coils and a steering stabilizer.
When you get closer, shout and I will help you pick which of the 4 spring set ups you may want/need to buy.
