Spring and Shock Options But No Lift
I was getting ready to order new springs and shocks. Was told to avoid the LR Genuine stuff and that I should go with OME. I was looking on the OME site and figured the medium duty would be best for my needs. Then I noticed it says that approximate lift is 1.5". I do not want to lift the Disco, just get new springs and shocks. Mine are sagging and I know with new one's, it is going to lift the vehicle from how it sits right now. I really don't want to lift it more than stock.
Does OME make a spring and shock kit without any lift? I was told that they do, but could not locate it on the AB or OME web sites. Thanks...

I talked to Disco Mike about this last weekend because I was thinking of HD stock height springs to replace my settled springs. The answer I was given is that if you want to go factory height you have to use factory springs which will settle over time just like your original springs. The only way to avoid having the springs settle is to go with a lift a spring.
You must realize, your truck has dropped at least an inch to and inch and a half and putting a inch and a half OME lift will only give you 1/4 to 1/2" over new specs.
Make sure to order the OME H.D shocks and steering stabilizer.

Mike, that does not make sense to me.
The OME lift is supposed to lift the truck about 1.5 inches over stock, not over sagging old springs. So, if I am sagging from 1 to 1.5 inches and I add the OME, then it will be 2 to 3 inches taller than it is today.
What am I missing?
