Default Squeaking/chirping front wheels

I bought my 2001 Discovery a few months back. It currently has ~60,350 miles on it. You can read more about it here.

Where I work, there is a driveway with brick walls on either side. It's great for listening to noises coming from the truck at the end of my 15 minute highway-then-city commute.

Lately, I've noticed a squeak coming from the front wheels once every revolution of the wheel. I don't believe it is the front prop shaft as I replaced that with a Lucky8 greasable shaft and have kept it well greased. Furthermore, the noise is coming from each front wheel independently. At the end of the driveway I make a hard left turn, and at that point I can hear each wheel squeak at differing rates due to the differing rotational speeds.

Faster than 5 mph it sounds like a chirp, but slower than that it is a squeak. It's not very loud, but noticeable if you listen for it inside the truck with the radio and climate control turned off.

It occurred to me that it could be the brakes. I removed the driver side wheel and inspected the pads, which had plenty of material, and the rotor (which I don't have a micrometer to measure). I haven't looked at the passenger side.

At this point I'm thinking it's the wheel bearings, CV joints, or drive shaft oil seals--or maybe still the brakes. It's curious that the sound seems to be coming from either front wheel equally loudly, but not the rear wheels so far as I can tell.

Any ideas? Thanks!

90% chance it is the front driveshaft - you need to pull it out and check the u-joint bearings. If they are not perfect I would recommend replacement, if it fails while driving it will take out the transmission and the transfer case.
