Nite-
You're absolutely correct, I'm not the original owner, the vehicle went through 2 other people before it reached me. The second owner was a woman and she didn't have it for very long at all, so it is entirely possible that the vehicle was off-roaded, although I'm a little skeptical that is the case.

I took it in a deep field over the summer and pulled out a couple very small trees with it, but nothing major...it was cool and fun and I didn't want to push my luck TOO far because it is after all the wife's truck.

At the end of the day, I will replace the hub and hopefully I won't have to throw anymore money at this rig in the near future. My father always said that you need to set aside $100 a month for maintenance on the vehicle, and this was years ago, the price has probably gone up. You might not spend $1200 one year but you might spend $2400 the following year...

This year has been a bad year. I just want to stop worrying about cars...can't remember if I mentioned it in this thread or the other one where I freaked out, but I spent 3 days fixing brake issues on a mercury sable before I spent another 2.5 days working on the Rover. Working on the rover does have its' advantages, I like to bitch, moan and complain about it but deep down I like the rig even though the guys who engineered it were on some heavy-duty mind-altering substances.
