Default Start up after front engine cover and oil pan removal

So I have everything back together (getting the front cover on over the key in the crankshaft is a PIA). I have never started a engine after a front cover job. I assume I have to prime the oil pump but I don't have a little oil can/pump. Can I fill the filter with oil and pull the fuel pump fuse and ignition coil fuse and turn it over for 10 seconds to get the oil pump primed. Or do I need to prime the pump manually? I did not replace the pump just did the gaskets.

Just fill your oil filter completely and start your engine, pulling the fuel pump fuse would be a plus.
