Default Steering

Hey anyone know what's going on here? I just had new front and rear sway bar links installed and now my steering is very tight, I am perplexed as to why this is so, do they just need to be worn in maybe or what lol?

should have no effect on steering. A new steering stabilizer will make steering more stiff...did they replace that too? Or change anything else?

Nope it was installed by a land Rover specialist, they did not do anything else. Would this have required a ailment? Because on the paperwork they did not do that.

what do you mean the steering is "tight"?

The wheel is heavier/hard to turn? The car sways or moves more with small steering inputs?

For instance yes a tight feeling when it goes over certain parts, while I'm describing this I'm constantly turning the wheel left, so I start to turn the wheel left and it will be normal for a second then tight spot and ok again and then tight spot and the normal again and then tight spot, like that.

I would have a look at the U-joint in your steering linkage located along side/just under the Driver side exhaust manifold.
it can dry out and cause the symptoms your describing.

I would spray liberally some wd40 which can be both a penetrant & a lube - or similar.
give that a try.

If I remember correctly, this is often a symptom of the steering shaft u-joints binding - not unlike what happens to the OEM front driveshaft where proximity to the hot engine cooks the grease inside. Not a serviceable part, needs to be replaced.

Not sure why sway bars would have any relation to this though - just something to consider.
