Default steering box adjustment screw

Hi All, Trying to remove the slack in my steering box according to the RAVE. I have been soaking the nut and screw on top of the box for a couple of days, the nut is loose but just can't budge the screw loose from the nut in order to adjust it. Does anyone know if I can remove the nut with the screw complete from the box without creating any issues? looking at the blow up diagram in the RAVE it looks like the nut is screws onto the output shaft adjuster. Just don't want to take the nut off and find out the only way to get it back on the shaft was to open the whole box up...
thanks in advance!!

See if someone else who knows can answer this but from what I know, you will screw up the inner seal and then have a permanent leak to deal with.
