Steering damper won’t fit after alignment
#11
I know it's already been said, but WOW what a load of BULL$HIT!!!!
Talk about a lazy tech, this is crazy seeing a DII is simple to align (stock steering links or HD).
Feel free to make a copy of the above directions and STAPLE them to the techs forehead!
And as SIX mentioned be sure this clown centralizes the steering box . Just bring a M8 x 1.25 bolt (approx. 65mm) with you.
And if this shop still can't get this right, remove the drag link and beat this fool with it.

Alright well I’m not getting what I want outa this. Back at the shop now and considering this is only one of two shops on island who can do an alignment I figure I’ll let them put my stabilizer back on, but have the steering wheel crooked. Then I’ll straighten the wheel myself. Good plan? Tired of this BS. LET THE STAPLING COMMENECE

Whose drag link do you have? Hard to tell but looks like both ends thread directly into the rod with jam nuts. If so, you may not be able to get the stabilizer lined up AND get the steering wheel centered dead-nuts. Mine has the little adjuster bit with two clamps down on the wheel side.

I saw somewhere you can remove the steering wheel and line it up again with the splines. Heard it was a b*tch to remove and requires a couple beers to get through it... just got the truck back, stabilizers on, and the steering wheel is literally like a 1/16th off center. WTF thought they were making it a big to do

You're being much to kind...he's being an idiot and lazy.
When l first looked at the picture l was like..."what the flying ****".
Sending someone out of the shop with steering components missing is purely idiotic.
Brian.

nah it’s all good. It’s been frustrating coming from abundant California to having extremely limited options for almost everything here. Even outside of mechanics. Can’t even get a damn decent burrito
