Default Steering wheel/box

Hi all
I'm currently experiencing a steering wheel where by turning the steering wheel is not a smooth it got stiffy during the turn this happened after a change of water pump. What could it be, i've changed the steering box (secondhand) and it was fine for one day and the problem occurs again. Do I need to bleed the power steering pipes?

Possible loose belt or failing p/s pump. If there is no foam in the reservor then you most likely got all the air out of the system.

Changed the new steering pump still stiff so look at u joint and one of them IS the problem so soaked it in oil and refitted and the stiffness gone just like that. Ordered new u joints hope to gets and replaced them together with the rear rubber prop shaft soon...

You are saying that you replaced the front u-joints and your steering is now fixed? Doesn't make any since. If that is what you did, did you also replace your centering ball, if not, you will need to go back and replace it before it does fail.

I think he is referring to the u-joint on the shaft form the steering wheel to the steering box.
