anybody knows where is located the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve on a Disco I '96 (gasoline)?

 

It is located on the throttle body, should be the only thing with wires coming out of it next to the intake tube.

 

Not knowing why you are asking, but if you are having idle issues then also clean out the t/body so the throttle plate closes properly, this is another cause of idle problems.i

how should I clean the throttle body? just spray in some carb cleaner? coz it's kind of difficult to reach inside

also, where all the detached dirt go? into the engine?

 

Here is the best way to clean the t-body.
Run the right front tire up onto a curb or a piece of wood, then just take your can of carb cleaner and spray away.
Everything will run inside the intake plenum and burn off when you start the truck.
After you clean it really good drive the truck around the block a couple of times.
And no, the gunk will not hurt anything.
But if all of that carb cleaner pools on the top of your engine it can smoke/catch fire when you drive.
