Afterthought, someone should disassemble a failed one and perform "Root Cause Analysis" And it is only a simple switch, but 20 or 80 is ridiculous, especially if it is from certain areas of the world.............

I've read through this post... my one question is: Where is the brake switch? What tools will I need to remove/replace/inspect it? My manual is still in the car... Thanks for any help!

Once you get the switch the only tool you really need is your hands.. it just twists 90 degrees and comes out, new one in, twist 90 back
and done

Alright guys got the new switch had it tested at Napa and it works. Get it in the car. the differential lock light still comes on and beeps everytime I step on the switch. I found the little button inside the gear shift to get it out of drive, but dam, there has to be something I'm missin, I still have no brake lights and there is still no click when I step on it. Does anyone have the fuse list for 01 Disco SD II
