Default Still have codes $3,700 later

I was given an 03 discovery II for free (thankfully) Ran but threw about 12 codes, mostly misfires. Tore the engine down, head gaskets, studs, valve job done, heads milled, intakes hot tanked, new coil packs, sti wires, plugs, new injectors, crank position sensor, coolant sensor, oil pressure sensor, new oil pump and timing cover, water pump, new hoses, belts, filters, new lifters, push rods, all new gaskets and o rings throughout, new steering gearbox, abs module.... more stuff i cant remember. Finally got it all back together last night started it up and still throws 4 codes. PO1300, PO305,PO308,PO300 .... any last bit of hope for some simple fix before i take it somewhere and dump more $ into this thing? Also replaced O2 sensors in front bank as well. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What are the code descriptions so I don't need to dig? Does it run bad?

How many miles on the engine, how about a cam I see you replace the lifters but no cam when that could be the issue?

Make sure the spark plug wires are plugged into the correct sockets on the coils. If they are swap plug 5 with plug 3 and see if the P0305 turns into a P0303, if it does you have a couple of bad plugs. P0305 and P0308 are misfires on cylinders 5 and 8 respectively, P0300 and P1300 are multiple misfire codes (caused by the misfiring 3 and 8 cylinders). If it's not ignition, then all that's left is fuel (did the injectors get plugged in correctly or at all on those cylinders?) or mechanical (maybe a cam like Mike alluded to) I lean towards ignition but I have over the years forgotten a time or 2 to plug in a fuel injector (but it never got to the customer that way)

I see this in the forum and all I can think is " man, that sucks." at least someone else did the work so you have someone to answer to all the codes, except for yourself.

Just out of curiosity what mass air flow sensor are you using? Also remember that is this goes on for a long enough time you will ruin your cats.

Ok, tore it all back apart, had two new coils as back ups...3rd set. Switched them out, very slowly and carefully put plug wires back on and made sure they were correct. got it all back together and finally runs without engine light coming on for the first time since ive had it. Not sure if it was a coil or switched wire but nonetheless it runs good now.... until i pulled it out in the driveway and the radiator cracked...............

Well look to the bright side: the 2003-2004 Disco's generally sell for between $5,000-$11,000 so if your at $4,000 and you got all that work accomplished then your about 1 radiator and flush away from having a like new rig to last a lifetime so long as you continue to take care of it. Sounds like the truck was initially a lost cause, maybe previous owners failed to take proper care of it...... happens ALL THE TIME. I know your probably frustrated as all hell, but I say just get the radiator replaced, give the system a good flush and you should be golden. Luckily radiators are cheaper for the D2 than they are for the D1.......

Good luck to you mean and dont give up. Another member on here got into a front end accident with his D2 and after buying it back as a total lose hes pretty much starting all over rebuilding the entire front end (body work and all the mechanical)..... so your not alone.

You dodged a bullet dude. Imagine if rad cracked while you were screaming down a dirt pig trail fifty miles from pavement.
