Hi, just bought my first landrover

Any suggestions what could be the problem?

 

Hi Daniel. You should give more information. Is it vibrating because it’s misfiring, or is there an actual imbalance in the engine? Did it run smoothly and suddenly vibrate, etc?

 

Hi harvir, the engine is working smoothly , the strong vibration happens just at the moment I switch off the engine only for 1 second.

My guess is that it’s nothing to worry about, but maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in.

 

Is it “dieseling”? (Trying to continue running). That used to be quite common on carbureted engines but electronic fuel injection usually runs so clean this never happens. Also EFI cuts off the fuel when you turn off the key, so I just talked myself out of that theory.

Motor mounts, fan blade, or maybe the harmonic balancer.
