Easier to just put a FP gauge on it, Oreilly has one you can borrow.

I read in the RAVE I’m looking for 3.5bars. This should be instant 3.5 bars to the rail for priming before start up correct?

 

Just checked the fuel pressure at the rail. I basically had zero pressure. Fuel pump it is. Thanks for all the help.

 

Have you made sure that your inertia switch isn’t tripped? Fuel pump is a very likely suspect but checking the inertia switch is free.

 

I didn’t check the intertia switch but I check the pressure side by side of a another disco in comparison.

0psi vs 80psi was very clear it’s a bad pump

 

But if your inertia switch is tripped you will have zero fuel pressure.

 

I am with mollusc...Check the interial switch before you dig into the pump. If that switch get's tripped, it's job is to stop power to the fuel pump. It's super easy to access (as opposed to other vehicles I own), take you two seconds to press to reset.

 

I honestly didn’t know that! The more you know. I ultimately just thought zero pressure meant the pump was out.

I will try to find out to reset it and do it.

 

Passenger side firewall. Push the button. That's it.
