Stuck caliper causing 3 amigos?
For a while I would get very random 3 amigos. It seemed that only when it was wet they would come on (like sitting at a stop light and pop on). Immediately after restarting they'd go away. This would happen once every 2 weeks at most.
The other day they came on and didn't turn off when I restarted as usual. I then noticed a slight grinding noise when coming to a stop and for a second or 2 after taking off. I also noticed a "burning clutch" smell when getting out of my truck around the same time. I passed it off as being another nearby vehicle as it wasn't strong and went away fast. I can only assume I was burning off my brake pad and now I have a stuck (probably over extended) caliper rubbing metal to metal causing the grinding.
I don't have a scanner yet though I may rob ZGPhoto's house for one here shortly...
Would it be possible for a stuck caliper to cause 3 amigos to stay on permanently?
