Well the most convenient place to put the sensor is in the thermostat housing port, however you can also put it inline in any of the hoses or if you want block temperatures you could put it in the block drain plugs.

Good day everyone.


I'm new here and reading though the messages sound and lfeel like im at the right place. We have a Land Rover Discovery 3 V8 HSE. Lately we pickup coolant level drop in the bottle and notice from the bottom on the passenger side at the rear side of the motor it leaking can't really see from where but look like from rear and drip on the gearbox down.

You are in teh D2 forum, there is a different forum for D3. Several issues with that motor but sounds like maybe heater hoses or perhaps throttle body heater line, suggest UV dye in the coolant and flashlight.
