Default Sunroof Banging

My front sunroof in my 2000 Disco bangs every time i go over a sizable bump in the road. Any hints. are there pads that need to be there and are not?

Does this happen with the sun roof open, closed and in to up position? If it is only in the closed position, have you looked at the sun roof from up top to make sure it is locking down all the way closed?

Mine will vibrate and shake if the road is crummy enough....this is a 97 D1, with it fully open...when closed or cracked it does not make the sound. I am guessing there isnt really anything I can do other than try to take it apart and shim up some gaps--way too much work for just a little rattling...

Sounds like when it opens, it is not fully open and locked. You might want to compare the front to the rear and see if one goes back farther.
