Does anyone know if the driver and passenger seat cushions are interchangeable from left to right. My drivers seat cushion is showing some wear, but the passenger seat cushion still looks new. I was thinking of trying this swap to put the newer looking seat in the drivers position.

Yes they are. I have done it twice.

Wow I did not know that. So the traditinal cracked portion of the driver seat cushion (oon side toward door) could be placed toward the console and hidden, right? If so that's my project this weekend.

Any tips on how to get the cushions off? Never worked on the seat.

I remove the seat.

There are j clips on the front, sides and back.

The back j clip is actually positioned under a larger j clip from the back upper portion. You have to un clip that one to get to the smaller one under it. I get my wife to seat in the seat to take pressure off the j clips.

Go slow, and try not to break the j clips. I still have not found an OEM quality replacement.

Abran, call me next time you need to ship something heavy and large. As im shipping dog food all over I have a good low rate contract on anything under 120 pounds. If memory serves me correctly its $7.5 for 35#. Or maybe that's 65#

So to have a " he said ,she said" type reply.....

I was reading a D1 thread about seat positioning and D1 seat issues. In this thread someone commented they remembered a D2 posting that said on a D2 we could reverse around the seat rails and it would give better leg room. But the member could not find the original post.

Does anyone know anything about this?
