are disco1 and d2 tail lights interchangeable, i know d2 lights sit up higher, i looked at mine and i see screws does that whole valance come off

There's a guy on eBay that selling instruction on how to install D2 headlights and tail lights on a D1. Someone mentioned he got the info from one of these LR forums and now he's selling for a profit, something he got for free. To answer your question, is it possible, appearantly it is.

They are not the same size and they have different wiring depending on what year the D2 is.

It is headlights only.

Here's a link to an auction that ended. The auction is listed as headlight conversion, but in the description he states he'll also include instruction for tail light conversion.
