Not too happy. Ran the DII for a 20+ mile trip when I got back home I smelled coolant. Hoping it was a leaking hose. I opened the hood and found the expansion tank venting.. I let it cool down and checked the coolant level. I didn't lose any. Oil is clear.
Things I plan to do:
- swap expansion tank cap with one from my parts DII
- combustion gas test (if it fails, I will pull the intake and valve covers and torque the head studs to 100 fl lbs from the 75 when in install them)

i would pressure test the cooling system looking for a leak before i started checking for CO@ in the coolant. you did say you could smell coolant.

I will do that. I am not losing coolant. I think what I smelled was the vapor venting out of the expansion tank.

After I did the heads, my throttle body cooler leaked. I ended up bypassing it.

What was the cause of your coolant leak? Did you ever get it sorted out?
