Taking off the IM : A waste of time?
Doing plugs and wires this weekend and had a couple questions.
I have lots of little oil leaks here and there, is it worth it to take the IM off to check for additional leaks that might otherwise be out of sight?
Can you swap the valley gasket without removing the valve covers & alternator? Would replacing this gasket be good preventative maintenance? I've looked at the procedure in the RAVE a couple times over and it seems the directions to replace the gasket are right in the middle of an engine overhaul, so I don't want to take everything apart if I don't need to.
'02 with almost 116K, and yes I do have SAI. Thanks in advance for any input gents.

If the head gasket is not one of your oil leaks, then you will need to remove the SAI, both manifolds and go down to the valley pan. Plan on replacing the valley pan gasket, the intake gasket and both v/c gaskets.
