The domestic auto producers should be required to publicly define their intentions for these 3Bil government bridge loans- before the money is dolled out to Brazil.

While their at it STOP labeling the "Big 3" vehicles MADE IN AMERICA and start advertising the vehicles as imports, or future imports.

As I see it, Brazil is going to get an even better factory (see video). Note, the subcontractor companies are located in the same building with a common assembly line uniting all parts to a vehicle in the same process.

The one thing I hope for more than anything is the D90 with a TDI to be released in the US. I would literally sell a kidney to get one. Possibly sell my siblings into slavery.

Sorry, you posted before I did, build/run efficient factories where mangement and staff work together for the common good, instead of manegment just trying to make the most money possible.
Kinda like the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.

 

Remember, Federal money is just borrowing from the taxpayers. When they give money to bail someone out (its in the constitution, 47th amendment) the Federal government is telling that company the customer will pay for their bad business planning.

GM is a health insurance provider that also makes cars. We are told to fear a disaster and the manufactured solution (tax and spend) seems that much better.

Remember when AMC, Studebaker, Moon Auto, Buffalo’s Pierce Arrow, Packard, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, and Hudson Motor Car Company (to name a few) went under? Probably not.
