Default TC issue.. swapped WABCO Out

Please forgive me in advance.. I’m not all that mechanically savvy.. I recently had my WABCO swapped out by a local mechanic for the endless Amigo issues.. he’s familiar with the truck and recommend it for the reasonable price on a used one.. only thing now is we got hit with some snowfall in the northeast here so I was looking forwad to blasting around. I notice the I noticed the Traction Control wasn’t engaging at all.. no flashing light nothing.. tires were spinning entire time.. with that I did notice that when I made a turn and gunned and took off the gas pedal the abs would engage.. felt identical almost to “hill decent”.. I brought to the attention of my mechanic.. he’s gonna look into it. We also have an issue with testing it properly because how the snow falls go here in NYC sometimes. 2 days later and it’s gone. I appreciate any advice.. I think my mechanic feels I’m imagining it but I know I’m not.. it’s one of the features I enjoy most about the truck when other trucks are slipping and sliding.. thank u again. I enclosed a pic below. I noticed that this one looks a little different from the original one I had.. can’t pur my finger on it.. thank u again.

Sounds like you need to read the codes. I'll bet there's a dead wheel speed sensor somewhere

its funny you say that.. “erratic front right sensor”is what was coming up before WABCO swap. at the moment the truck doesn’t have a lights on her.. would it still throw speed sensor codes without service light? I told the Mech that was the code throwing the Amigos up. He told me that wasn’t it.. thanks for your input. I’m gonna check it out in the morning.

Find some lose gravel, at the edge of pavement works best. Put your rear wheels just in the gravel and punch it hard you should get a TC light for a second or two. It may take a try or two but you should get it to light up. Also check all your connections on the pump, make sure you do not have a loose one.

Default Thank you Twix and Richard..

Twix I took your advice and plug the scanner in even though I had no lights.. came back “erratic shuttle valve”.. I threw it in to 4low put on the hill decent and nothing.. tried a few time and let off the gas nothing.. then bingo.. TC light popped on and stayed along with HD.. I will be following up with my mech tomorrow starting off with.. “you bought a bum shuttle valve”.. thanks again guys, I will follow up.

Option B is normally all you need unless it's leaking brake fluid internally. I have yet to replace a single Wabco Unit.

Get the falconwerks kit with seals, rebuild with option b and you’re good.

Is there a way to find out which wheel sensor is duff, without plugging in?
