Default TC light and brake issues in the snow...

I am diving into this now in the forums but thought I would ask.... This is my first snow with my rover and I was having some breaking and traction issues. While I am in motion the TC light would come on and make a weird noise like a broken toy electric buzzer... Then a min later the light would cut off. In addition to this when I brake the peddle feels like it is taking control and a similar sound is heard and it feels like i am not going to stop. I am new to these systems and want to know how to use and utilize them correctly. Please advise, and thank you in advance...

The TC amber light comes on with a loss of traction - normal.
The noise you are hearing is the anti lock unit working - normal.

Sounds like your truck is working properly, but your tires might not be up to the task of winter driving.

yes its called traction control

Most vehicles do etc with the abs these days, when the disco came out it was a cost saving measure.

Just the normal sights and sounds you have to get used to.

What kind of tires are you running anyways? --Keep in mind too... if there's ice, no tire is going to stop on the dime... But in typical snow, you should feel more secure when braking...

Id have to go look they came with it. Good tread on them. I have been looking at new tires. I want BFG AT. But dont look like they make the size for the stock D2. I was thinking about Firestone Destination. Love seeing the Bronco's logo. I miss Denver sometimes....

Do you have 18" wheels? The General Grabber A/t2 has a tire for 18" wheels if you don't want to upgrade to 16" wheels. Real good tire in the snow.

And im with you on the Broncos! Im a displaced fan here in NC, but I watch every game. Gearing up for Tebow's 2nd start in a couple hours. (we wont talk about how bad they are this year...)

I have the stock 16's. I heard it was better to keep them. I am here in NC as well. This is home but I was in CO for half my life, and I graduated from CSU.

Oh ok, well BFG AT should have a 16" tire... I'd be surprised if they didn't. I'm still a fan of the General Grabbers a/t2 though, even for 16"s!

I've lived in NC all my life, but my mom's side of the family is all from CO originally, and they brainwashed me as a Broncos fan since birth. My uncle actually works at Elway's in Denver as a chef... awesome job to have!
