Thats a good price I just got quoted 1800...but that does include timing chain water pump and a few other things...getting done Wed.

do it yourself for less tha $800.00 including parts... Pretty strait forward....

Ok snowdude,
But where ever you get it done. You should go visit your mechanic and take some pictures for us. Bring him Starbucks of his choice and a nice lunch daily. I would like to see what the failing oil gear looks like. If there are any missing teeth? I would also change the timing chain & gears if you are in there.
Let me know if you want to tackle it together my offer still stands. You really only need a nice socket set and to rent a 32mm wrench form AutoZone to remove the front fan. Maybe borrow a torque wrench too. I do all my work in my driveway with a growing small too set because my garage is small. My Rover knows its only allowed to break in the spring summer & fall. Winer is off limits!
