Default tell me if this sounds right...

ok ive been going through all my different wheel options for the past year or so and im ready to pull the trigger on a lift, wheels, and tires setup. front DS problem is fixed. gears and traction issues will be adressed later in that i wont be doing any heavy wheeling for a while.

ok here is what i have decided on. the lift set up will be a 3" ome and 1 1/4" BL from lucky8llc.com and for wheels i want 17x8 crager soft 8's in 5x4.75. i will have to get the lug stud holes honed out to fit the bigger lug studs but thats no big deal. my concern is with the backspacing and offset of the new wheels bc we all know how our wheels have so much offset.

crager wheels -

17x8 with 4.5" backspacing (12.7mm offest)

stock wheels -

18x8 with 53mm offset

so i took 12.7 away from 53 and got 40.3 then converted that to inches and i get 1.59 which should be how much farther the cragers will stick out than the stock hurricanes. IMO thats perfect bc my original plans were to flat black the stock wheels and get 1.5" wheel spacers.

anyways, i wanted to right that up so someone else could read through it and let me know if thats correct or if i am missing something.

thanks guys!!

I know nothing about wheel spacing and offset.
But I will give you a bump.

Why 17" wheels?????????????? Prices are higher. less selection of good tires? You might want to rethink that 3" OME. Will you be running a bumper and or winch or carrying a lot of weight? 766 rear coils, OME's 3" coil, ride like a cattle truck when empty, the are a load rated coil not a ride coil. Why a body lift?
What size tire are you thinking about running, what diameter?
