Temperature Gauge and tachometer stopped working at the same time. Any ideas what could be wrong>? Are they on the same circuit>?

While not on the same circuit, they do happen to be in the same connector, C0223. Pin 18 is the coolant temp, pin 20 is the tach. See attached for location.

You may want to plug in an OBDII scanner, and see if you have signals in digital form from the ECU.

Thats good to know. I should have mentioned that I had the intstrument cluster out, So, I most likelly reconnected wrong. Everything works, fuel cap release etc. Anywere I can find a picture diagram of the back of the instrument cluster, showing witch connector does what, and showing color of the connectors.
Thanks for your time.......

In the RAVE, circuits diagrams and electrical library, drawings and photos in color. If you are unable to download and save the whole RAVE, you can also see individual sections at a link in my signature. Handy if stuck away from home PC. Some carry RAVE on USB drive in glove box - never know if random mechanic will have it.

OK, well I found the problem. I had the circuit board out, (again). I noticed there are 14 screws and 16 holes. Turnes out the srews holding down the circuit board actualy complete the circuit. I noticed 2 of the holes for the screws on the circuit board had no circuit behind it. So I didnt put screws in those holes. Now Tach and Temp gauge work. YEE HA! Rule I live by. If something doesnt work or doesnt make sense, go back to the beggining and go to the simplest form of the problem. Works every time. Hope this helps someone out so they dont make the same dumb mistake I did. None the less, Im a proud Mo Fo for finding the fix. Thanks Peace out !!!
