Default Temporary P1173 after car wash

The car washes in may area are opening back up so I took the D2 to a self wash (I have a roof top tent. so no automated washes). I washed it pretty gently but when I started it back up it threw a P1173 code which is in regard to a right bank 02 sensor, I think. I cleared it and gave it a short drive hoping that the heat would boil off some water that got in somewhere it shouldn't have and the code hasn't returned since. Has this happened to anyone else? Might have to get under there and check if I have a frayed wire shorting when wet or something.

I wouldn't worry about it. Yet.

The same thing has happened at least a couple times with my truck. Once it dries out it should be fine. If it keeps coming back that's another story that may have been just a coincidence with your trip to the car wash.

If you have a leaf blower, use that to blow off the water around the engine and components.

I ran through some water last storm and got that and misfire on 4 code. I'm thinking of putting dielectric grease on the O2 connectors and spark plug boots. Have you tried that?

That's my plan real soon. It popped up again while traveling through some rain for an extended time. I cleared it and it hasn't come back on so my money is on an electrical connection.

Yeah i used the dialectric grease when I installed mine. Haven't had a problem after multiple water crossings and Florida storms.
