Default Tensioner collet on knuckle question

I started to replace the ball jt on my 2000 disco. We did about 30-40min of hammering and ball joint separator but to no avail. Unfortunately, in my haste i decided to use a cut off wheel to take off knuckle off the ball jts. So...it worked but Iended up cutting the top part of collet by accident. The thread part that sticks up towards the ball joint. Can I still use the collet? I imagine it's the taper that adjust the ball joint height not the contact of the top of the collet? anyways any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it, should be fine to use.
