Are you sure you have the TF134 shocks?

With the TF134 in the rear, unless someone put a spring spacer or extra spring isolator, those shocks should be more than fine with a 3" lift kit.

That being said have a good look/listen at the other suspension links/bushings especially in the rear. If they are worn the add articulation from the lift could be causing them to make noise. Check the Watts linkage, and if you still have an anti-sway bar start with the link ends. I've been there done that. Good Luck!

I'm wondering if its the watts linkage myself or a snapped sway bar link. I had one snap on my D2 drove me nuts till I figured it out

You can also make rear upper mounts that are lower than stock too.
Honestly, if you pay shipping both ways I'll shorten your towers for you for free, however much you want them shortened. Can't help with the rears from afar though, I'm afraid.

As for adding more weight than just steel bumpers... A winch Will add more weight, too, at least to the front.

I always thought these RTE adjustable front turrets where pretty bad *** for $170...
