Default Terrafirma Steering linkage

Anyone running the terrafirma track rod, draglink assembly and panhard rod on their D2? Worth the money? I'm about to pull the trigger on replacing my steering linkage.

I'll be installing the TF HD steering setup very soon. My OEM stuff is finally worn out at 225K. I didn't get the adjustable Panhard Rod, but I do plan on it as with my 2inch TF Lift the axle is slightly off centered.

I priced OEM MOOG stuff, and by the time you get it all you're not that far off from the TF HD setup. From what I've read the TF setup uses RRC replacement Tie Rod ends.

Essentially the same pieces except the TF will have better corrosion resistance and the bracket isn't welded on.

I have the HD adjustable panhard, drag link, and steering arm from TF.

I like them except for two things. First, the steering arm uses grooves and u bolts to hold the steering stabilizer. Not the best setup (my OEM one had a welded bracket). A small amount of torque on the nuts broke one of the u bolts. I got better ones and it has been fine since then. Then the adjustments in the ends of the drag link and steering arm come loose sometimes. I can't get them to stay.

Very heavy though. Feel like they could take alot of punishment.

I've probably had mine a year, maybe more, and they are holding up very well.

How often would you say the drag link ends come loose?

Basically every time I check them; maybe once every couple of months (when I change the oil and grease the driveshafts). The drag link has not extended or retracted and changed my alignment but the locking nuts just don't stay tight. I tighten them with wrenches then, a few weeks later, I can turn them with my hands.

The steering bar has the same setup for adjustment. Same issue. Almost every time I jack up one side of my truck, which is pretty often if you see my other threads, the steering is off a tad when I am done. But in normal driving it doesn't move.

This kit is much stronger: 3/4" Heim Steering Kit - RuffStuff Specialties or you can consider their advice and bore your knuckles out to 3/4" and use the 7/8" kit which is even better.
