Well, where i live is quite hot and sometimes it hits the low 40s. AC is blowing cold air but nowhere near enough of it, especially for the people at the back. Is there a way to improve this flow? Maybe install a higher power blower? Anyone know one that would fit. I took apart the blower, hoping it would be super dirty with bits from the old filter but everything was nice and clean. I thought about retrofitting the standard rear blower but looks like its a real pain
By the way, i am only interested in improving airflow for the first and the second rows. I removed the third row of seats in favour to the handy storage boxes and a shelf
Are you in C of F? You can switch to F by pressing the Recirculate first & the power button at the same time for 3 sec it should be and change to F vs C. Closing the outer vents will let the center ones blow much stronger. There was a mod on here a few years back with a blower out of a Pontiac, but like I've said for many years 87-04 LR's were not known for ICE cold AC systems. Only with the LR3 and up did LR actually start to have decent HVAC systems.
Insulating the cabin helps for sure, and parking in the shade or keeping windows cracked will also help get the heat out of the cabin faster.
We use C over here, so I will leave it like that 🙂. Thanks for the suggestions. I use all 4 vents in front as i put the side vents on front passengers and center ones for the children at the back. I will try to check about the pontiac blower.
You are right, i had a freelander 2 and the ac on that one was great... One thing i miss about that car
