Do you use them and what do you put up there?

 

Yes we use them. We put cd case's, maps, Netflix movies to mail back. And they have handy dandy finger holes on the bottom so that you can fish out your stuff. Great idea for otherwise unused space.
And the neting in the back, my kids use for MP3 player, books and the remote for the portable dvd player. As well as movies.

 

Well, I think that they were originally for passports and maps.

I personally don't put anything up there.

 

Parkway/ nat'l forest Maps! and stuff to bring to the bank, CD's, etc... Like johnnybob said they are probably made for passports, and maps for when people are doing alot of cross country safari driving. (which I would love to do someday.)

 

They are the perfect size to put a pack of smokes there snugly. Other than that, lighters and other small junk. I don't carry cd's anymore since the satellite radio.

 

Thoseoverhead pockets werereally handy on our across country vacation, andaround Moab and mountains. Really handy for maps and travel books.Those and the door pockets. I always kept some littlesnack inmy door pocket.
