Default Thoughts on "death wobble"?

Hi there! Just recently had the sleeves done on my Disco, so I'm finally able to work on other stuff.

My handling has always been a little lazy for my 03 DII, but nothing too rough. However, when I go over bumps in the road that are uneven (i.e. a diagonal line going across the street rather than a line perpendicular to the road where the front tires hit it at once), the car starts to wobble. When I'm driving on the parkway or any other highway and hit bumps, the vehicle's steering stays straight but when I'm going around 50 and hit uneven bumps the vehicle does wobble a bit.

Where can I start to diagnose this? I want to start doing maintenance on my own, as labor costs are getting expensive.

In addition, when turning going <5mph and I hit bumps in the road or dips, there's a slight thunk that maybe sounds like a bushing. Any suggestions?

Check the easiest stuff first like panhard bushings. If they are worn that can for sure cause it.

If they aren't worn check to make sure the bolts are good and tight on it, because that can create the same issue as worn bushes.

Sounds like a mix of panhard bushings and watts linkage bushings. Do this test to see if your watts is bad.

Check all your steering components too. Ball joints, track bar, Pittman arm. I replaced those three because all of the boots were ripped. Ended up fixing all of my wobbles and looking at the joints once they were out... It was scary.

Read the "so you have death wobble" post on diagnosis. Ignore the bit about swivel pins and instead check upper and lower ball joints.
