Default Three Amigos Follow up question...

I have been reading the post on here about the three amigos issuse (2003 Disco II, 67K miles). I read somewhere that i need to try locking brakes up to see if ABS engages, I did this and it did engage (50mph hard stop ABS pulse). But I can't find what that means? Is that a shuttle valve test?

I was hoping thatI could put off taking this to "get scanned" until after X-mas. As it seems the normal driving is not effected.

Thanks

Doug

Doug, go to see you have done a little reading. The fact that your brakes pulsate indicate your ABS control unit is good, which is the good news. Do your brakes squeak? If so, this is the most common issue for tripping the 3 Amidos.
I would suggest you go find a local mechaqnic, not the dealer, have them read and clear the codes, if they don't come back on you will be fine.
