Default Threw a code... well... 15 at once

I was driving along today and stopped at a red-light. Light turned green, I mashed the gas and truck started off, then lost power like the engine was going to stop, for less than a second but kicked back in, so fast the car behind me probably didn't even notice and I was able to pull away. I was thinking random misfire or something and everything was running normally.

Went into the store and came back out to find check engine light on. I assumed I was going to have a random misfire, no big deal, but found 13 confirmed and 2 pending codes:

P1884 engine coolant level lamp circuit
P1451 evap solenoid
P0414 secondary air switching valve “a” circuit shorted
P1482 cooling fan circuit condition
P0445 evap purge control circuit shorted
P0448 evap vent control circuit shorted
P0102 mass or volume air flow circuit low input
P0340 camshaft position sensor “a” circuit
P0135 o2 sensor heater circuit
P0155 o2 sensor heater circuit
P0141 o2 sensor heater circuit
P0151 o2 sensor heater circuit
P0154 o2 sensor no activity detected

Pending
P1451 evap solenoid
P0134 o2 sensor no activity detected

The truck has been running great other than my secondary air engine system howling occasionally at startup, so I think the blower motor is on the way out.

Any thoughts on what happened? I'm thinking electrical blip of some sort. Going to clean up the battery terminals and reset and hope for the best. And travel with a fire extinguisher in reach at all times

I had a similar experience when one of the power (or ground, I cannot remember) cables that goes to the battery got loose and burned through the shielding on the exhaust manifold. When the bar wire contacted the exhaust my dash lit up like a Christmas tree, I then hit a bump and the whole truck went dead. In pitch dark I found the problem with my cell phone as a flashlight and used some zip ties to keep the cable clear so I could get home.

Charlie_V ... you nailed it... an o2 sensor rewire got loose and melted on exhaust manifold.

Crazy, I had almost the exact same wire fire. Mine was a little worse as all the wires were in a single bundle and burned quite badly. Luckily the ones that burned through were long enough to cut and reconnect.

Drivers side?

Glad to help, though I think I merely provided inspiration. I'm rarely right, haha... but a broken clock is right twice a day. The sun shines on a dog's a$$ occasionally. A bind hog finds an acorn. I'm the clock, dog, and hog.

Glad you found it. Are you going to re-insulate the wires?
