Throttle body heater - hose size?

I bypassed mine a couple of months ago (I just connected the two hoses though. BUT, since doing so, I've been running a little rough, and had #5 miss a couple times under load. Does anyone know if not plugging the TBH nubs would make for a vac leak that could be the cause?

Performed another sucessful TBH delete today. It also was recently replaced and looked new however once I fixed the rest of the cooling system it started to seep.... slapped on some 5/16 coolant hose & bypassed it. No more coolant leaks!
