Tire fitting on discovery 2
DiscoRover007 did a similar lift, although his was a 2" Terrafirma, and he runs 275/65R18s with no rubs whatsoever. At a 275/75R16 you'll probably be just fine. That's the same width and only 1/4" taller as DiscoRover's tires. I doubt that extra 1/8" would cause you to rub.
i have 255/65r16's on my stock suspension. i want to go with 285/75/16's. can i get that done with 3" RTE springs and new shocks. Am i going to have to trim alot off to fit these? i have to replace my shock anyway so i figured its time to start lifting. also 285/75/16's are a 33" tire?

I wish. It's kinda sluggish off the line, but I've driven a Jeep with a 2.8L V6... so it's not the slowest thing I've ever owned.
AWESOME, thats what im going to put on it then. last question im going to be doing light off roading mainly mud. should i go with a longer travel shock or just go regular. i was thinking +3 just so i would have them on there incase i get more into rocks and heavy off roading
So can i fit 275/75/R16 on ome 2 in lift and i plan i putting a roof rack that would be holding a roof top tent and arb bumper , rock silders and maybe rear bumper with tire carrier lol would that rub ?!
