Default Tire size

I have a 2000 disco II with factory 18's. I know i can run 265/65/18 on the disco with no lift but can i fit 265/70/18 on it. Does anybody have a idea. I want to put a set of toyo open country m/t and they only come in the 265/70/18 size. I have them on my defender 90 and they are bad ***. the 70 is the width am I right on this. Thanks for all the help. This forum is great.

Thanks,
Joe

265 is the width, that's about 10.5". The height is 70% of that, they will rub with no lift as that's essentially a 32.5" tall tire

I'd say you could, yes. However there will definitely be interference with the stock bumper when you turn; you'll want to trim that some. Possibly some other rub as well.

I'd still guess drivable.

I have 1” and 1-1/2” billet alum spacers available if you are interested.

Yeah, shouldn't have any trouble with an inch lift. OME lifts usually come out about an inch and a half though if you wanted to go that route. It's very possible your factory springs are sagged and ready to be replaced anyway.

I wouldn't bother with a 1" lift. Just go get a 3" lift and be done. And happy.

I liked the Cooper's on my Disco, but I like the Falkens I have now a lot better. Better price, too.
