Default Tired Old Fender Flares

If you've a little patience and a lot of masking tape... you can spruce up your fender flares pretty easily.

I took one look and figured out removing and re-installing them was a no-go. If you do remove yours you'll have it even easier.

I used Rust-O-Leum (sp?-not by the can right now) truck bedliner. It's not rubbery after application and has quite a nice texture. It's very similar to the mirrors' visually though it feels a bit more coarse. The only real info here I guess is the texture - it was 'just right' for this job. I'm seriously considering doing my grille in it before I put it back on. My LR's white so I think the contrast would look fine.

I masked off then sanded the flares down with 80 grit to remove the worst of the roughness from them. A couple coats per the can's directions and voila. I'll post some pictures when I can.

heh - so it would seem.

I still like my four-ingredient method. Water (cleaning the dust up). Sandpaper. Masking tape. Bedliner stuff. Maybe throw a rag in there or two was about it... You can over-think this but there's no reason to.

YMMV...
