Im sorry I keep bumping this topic but today was CRAZY. The lines where 10X as long today, when the pumps ran out some people flipped out, I saw two people getting arrested, and to make things worse people where running out while waiting in line and having to push their cars off the side of the street. And to add even MORE to the problem peoplearestalking tankers as they come into town and its getting really dangerous. it seems no place can stay open for more than an a few hours, and they say by NEXT WEEK (!?!?!?!?!) it will be back to normal? Some of us dont have until NEXT WEEK.

Stupid Hurricane.......

I live in GA and had my Disco II in for service in Atlanta. When I took it there it had a full tank... I went to pick it up this afternoon and it was empty. (must have been one hell of a test drive). The ONLY gas station that had any gas in 14 miles had a line that was 43 cars long. Channel 2 News was there filming it. I was only wishing I had invested in a rack and 2 gas cans!

Camdisco, I know what you're saying. I knew it would be like this, and even posted the prediction earlier in this thread. I don't think it's ALL hurricane, though. We've had hurricanes in the gulf before and we've never had anything like this happen. It wasn't this bad even after Katrina. There's something out of whack here, and it smells rotten.

I'm supposed to be leaving for the coast today for a statewide company training meeting, and I've got about 1/2 tank of gas. Wish me luck.

That brings back the days of the oil embargo of the 70's
with the lines and cars running out of gas in line and pushing the cars.

When we have all our egg's in one basket that basket is in a bad way
when it gets kicked.

I live in North Georgia and people are going way crazy with this situation, if people would just get gas as they normally would ( once a week or so) things might be able toget back to normal, but stopping and "topping off" everytime a stationhas gas is a problem, tankers can not keep up. It is ridiculous on both reasons, plus they get to charge more!!!

It's been pretty crazy here in Nashville as well. I just talked to a guy who had his gas tank drilled and they drained his whole tank. It's wednesday and still most of the station are still without gas and the few that do have crazy lines.

Hey...I just got power last night! [sm=smiley32.gif]

I livedown here in Houston and it's been crazy...to say the least.

Living in the dark w/no power & no A/C is killer! especially w/the humidity & mosquitos...ugh.

The gas lines were long before & after Ike, but now ...all the gas stations are working ...atleast the ones w/power. There's still rougly 35% of Houston w/no power.

I always had to use my 5 gallon jerry can to have for reserve during the hurricane as well as the aftereffects.

Gas prices went up a bit, but premium is hovering around $3.63 ~ $3.83.

Just glad to be able to use the computer at home.

Now, it's time to clean up & make some repairs.

You guys make me sick. Gas prices went UP and premium is $3.63 AFTER a hurricane?
Our gas just went down, $3.78 for REGULAR.
Buying gas around here is like playing the stock market. The gas prices change on a daily average every 2 hours. Up and down, up and down.
Took my doughter to school yesterday, drove past the Marathon station, $3.81 for regular, 30 min later $3.96. Today on the way to school $3.78. There was a time when the gas prices changed once a week.
