easily one of the best modifications that i made to the cooling system.i have since moved away from it, but it made the temps more stable than what i was getting in the original bypass set up.
for about the same price of a td5 stat, you can get a nice housing and stats

Hey guys, it's been a while, and nearing Monsoon Season here in Tucson so I have started working on the truck again! I have an issue here, broken hose, and not sure what it is (photos below, the hose with the silver tape on it)

The hose I thought you were referencing was the corrugated one. The hose you are showing now is the small non corrugated, correct?

I'm not positive but I think that small hose is connected to a filter/dryer element associated with SAI. But I'm not sure. Let's see what the experts say.

Looks like it's connected to the vacuum canister. Does it connect to the Manifold?

Long time since I have chimed in here, but I have just finished putting the engine back together and doing the first start. Started up just fine, but then 5 mins after running I noticed a small amount of smoke coming from the engine. I'm not sure where it is coming from, but there appears to be a coolant leak somewhere, at least I am hoping that it is not the head gasket that I just replaced! Any suggestions on things to check?

Video coming soon!

Could it be PB blaster, sea foam deep creep, etc burning off? Grease burning off the manifolds / exhaust pipes?? Don't know I'm not there

Smells a lot like sweet green radiator fluid. Also there is fluid flying out the exhaust pipe. I'm going to shoot a video now to give more context
