Default Traction control reset?

After half a day of trail riding my traction control stopped working, but abs still functioning, not the the three amigos, only the tcs and abs light on.

After a a bit of street driving and shut off rest/ restart it’s back to normal , everything working and no lights

any idea what it could be or if there’s a way to reset the system in the field? With all the ice and snow I really need it.

You should check for ABS trouble codes if you have a capable scanner. You might have a bad wheel sensor or two. Clear codes and see if it happens again or codes return.

I know that when you work them hard they shut down for awhile. I had three discos come down the rainbow trail in Colorado using the hill descent. All of them stopped working. We free balled it for 15 minutes then the hill descent started back up no big deal.

No real scanner here to do abs codes, thanks zuke, I hope that’s the case, I’m probably pushing my luck but I’m going out for a night run with the big boys, they’re mostly all 1 ton running gear and 37’s and up

It's 1 of two possibilities.

1. Extreme use of TC will heat the brakes so much it will illuminate warning lights.

2. You could have a bad connection at the ABS valves
